Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring MA licensure, Meditech charting experience, and 1+ year of OR experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit setting
• 40-hour, 4x10 day shift schedule (6:30am-5:00pm)
• On-call required one night per week and weekends based on staffing needs
• No floating or weekend shift requirements outside of on-call
• Uses Omnicell, Meditech Expanse, and SBAR communication systems

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Meditech charting system experience required
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills across multiple surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, gynecology, urology, ENT, and trauma procedures preferred

Additional Information

• Provide scrub and circulating support across a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Perform core OR duties including Universal Protocol (time out), specimen handling, and infection control practices
• Experience with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia preferred
• Holiday coverage expected during the assignment
• Floating may occur in rotation with facility staff per facility policy and clinical experience
• RTO requests should be minimized, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment, and must be approved prior to start
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have the right experience
• Local candidates within 30 miles accepted at the same rate
