What You’ll Do

As an OR Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative experience while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the healthcare team.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously evaluate patient status.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
  • Support patients throughout the perioperative/surgical care process.
  • Provide appropriate therapy, treatment, and supportive care.
  • Monitor treatment plans and patient responses to interventions.
  • Provide patient education and health counseling as appropriate.
  • Execute delegated medical functions within scope of practice.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and facilitate appropriate referrals or additional evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Utilize available clinical resources effectively.
  • Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive patient outcomes.
  • Follow applicable regulatory, professional, and organizational standards.
  • Float to other departments within your scope of competency and qualifications when required.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as discussed during the interview.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Schedule & Flexibility

  • 36 hours per week
  • Three 12-hour shifts
  • Variable scheduling
  • Days and evenings available
  • 4×10-hour shifts may also be considered
  • On-call requirements will be discussed during the interview
  • Full-time contract opportunity


✅ Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
  • Operating Room/OR nursing experience
  • Current RN license – Single State or Compact license accepted, as applicable
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Additional certifications appropriate to the OR/surgical service
  • Previous experience working in a hospital Operating Room environment
