Description

American Traveler is hiring a seasonal travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CO or compact license and at least 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Details

• Work in a 408-bed hospital's main OR suite consisting of 14 ORs, including 1 hybrid CV OR and 1 cysto room
• Unit staffed with OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, anesthesia techs, service line leads, and clinical charge RNs
• Day shift staffing includes 14-16 RNs, 14-16 CSTs, and 2 clinical charge RNs
• Night shift staffed with 1 clinical charge RN, 1 OR RN, and 1 CST, supported by call teams for neuro, CVOR, and general surgery
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• EMR: Meditech
• Shift schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Typical procedures include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases (no transplant procedures)
• On-call requirement of two 12-hour call shifts per month plus three to four 5 PM-7 PM call shifts per month

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of current hospital acute care experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Prioritize patient experience and maintain strong communication with staff and providers
• Must be adaptable to a fast-paced, changing surgical environment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
