Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and a Michigan RN license.

Details

• Work in the Surgical Services unit of a 202-bed regional hospital
• Full spectrum of surgical procedures across specialties, including general elective and critical/life-saving cases
• Day shift schedule of 10-hour shifts, 6:45am-5:15pm, non-consecutive working days with a random day off Monday-Friday
• One weeknight on-call shift required weekly, 7pm-11pm
• One weekend on-call rotation required monthly, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urology, and OB experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a full range of surgical specialties, including cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences
• Facility provides hospital scrubs
• Strict attendance policy in place, with termination after three absences or late arrivals of more than 20 minutes per shift, barring documented medical exceptions
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced pay rate
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment
