Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of inpatient OR experience and competency in at least 5 surgical specialties.

Details

• Operating room setting within a surgical services department with 17 ORs staffed 24/7
• Surgical specialties include general, GYN, GU, oral, ENT, bariatrics, orthopedics, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
• 12-hour D/N rotating shifts with day shift starting at 7a and night shift starting at 7p
• 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend required as needed
• On-call required once per schedule
• May float to Moakley OR as needed

Requirements

• Active MA RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Scrub experience required
• Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties
• Preferred experience in neuro, vascular, and scrub beyond general, GYN, and GU cases
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude required

Additional Information

• Every other holiday coverage required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible for this traveler position
