Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.
* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation.
OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass.
Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * *.
Department: OR RN.
*Certifications Required: BLS*.
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated
**Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.**.
**Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract.
- # of Suites: 6.
- Average # of cases per day: Over 400 per month.
- Common Cases: Adults and Peds, We are a mix of mainly outpatient procedures including ortho (including total joints and sports med), general, obgyn, robotic, plastics, ENT, Urology, hands, podiatry, breast reconstructions.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to handle total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, breast cases including reconstructions.
- Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: No.
- OR techs?: Yes.
- EMR: EPIC.
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1700 // OR supervisor will make schedule.
- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 6-7 call shifts per month.
- Weekend/Call Requirements: 2-3 weekends in a 13 week contract.
- Holiday/Call Requirements: Depending on needs at least 1 holiday call per year.
- Floating Requirements: Within the OR.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided.
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-3 days.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
