Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring trauma, ortho, and neuro case experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Level 1 trauma center Operating Room with 23 surgical suites averaging 75 cases per day
- Day shift schedule with shift options of 7A-3P, 7A-5P, or 7A-7P, open to 36 or 40 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required with 12-hour shifts alongside staff, and possible 8-hour weekday shifts in rotation
- Call requirements include approximately 3-4 weeknight shifts and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period, with a 45-minute call response time
- Charge nurse present on all shifts
- Self-scheduling permitted within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
- No floating required
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Scrubbing not required but considered a bonus
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Experience circulating and/or scrubbing Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, cardiac, and exploratory laparotomy cases required
- BSN not required for this position
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Manager will conduct interviews directly with no prescreen required
- Travel experience preferred
- Hospital-issued scrubs required
- Assignment must start ASAP and end by June 1st
