Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MA RN license and strong general, ortho, and GYN surgical background.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Cases include General, Ortho (total joints), and GYN procedures, with Neuro experience considered a bonus
• 12-hour day shift schedule, 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities required in addition to scheduled shifts

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required at time of consideration
• Current O.R. experience required
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique principles
• Experience operating complex surgical equipment across specialties such as Endoscopic, Laser, ENT, Ortho, Plastic, Podiatry, Neuro, General, Thoracic, Urology, and Vascular
• Robotics experience required and must be clearly noted, especially for Ortho, GYN, and General cases
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medication tests (85% passing score, one attempt only, no remediation) prior to assignment start
• Only natural, unchipped, and short nails permitted

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across a variety of surgical specialties
• Availability for a hiring manager phone interview must be provided at time of consideration
• All time off requests must be submitted in advance, with no more than 3 consecutive days approved
• COVID vaccination plus booster and flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions accepted
• Candidates who have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (travel, per diem, or permanent) within the last six months will not be considered
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
