Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I Trauma experience and PA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a Level I Trauma hospital
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Floating required between Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and Honickman Center, as well as among services within the main OR
• No on-call requirement
• No holiday requirement
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic charting system
• Scrub and circulate duties required

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Trauma Level 1 course and certificate of completion required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomy, and spinal cases required
• Experience with orthopedic fractures a plus
• Skills in neurology, craniotomy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries including scrub for these procedures
• Experience with spinal fusion and total joint replacement preferred
• PA fingerprint clearance and Childline results required within 12 months of start date
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care including scrubbing and circulating for complex surgical cases
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no additional time off accepted after submission
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 1 week of signing contract
