• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Shift Schedule: Rotating days, mids, and nights with call coverage
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 - $2,840
• Charting System: Epic
• Call Requirements: Approximately once per week; every 3rd to 4th weekend; holiday call as assigned
• Orientation: 1 week unit orientation

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 3 years of operating room nursing experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability to scrub as required in the operating room
• Experience supporting a broad range of surgical cases, including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic procedures
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Willingness to participate in call coverage and rotating shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room environment
• Assist with circulating and scrub responsibilities across multiple surgical specialties
• Prepare patients, instruments, and procedure rooms for a variety of surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical technologists, charge staff, and the broader care team to support efficient case flow
• Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical and safety protocols
• Support call coverage and help ensure smooth operations during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Contribute to a professional, patient-centered environment focused on quality, safety, and teamwork
