Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring multi-specialty surgical experience and willingness to perform OR duties in the Interventional Radiology unit.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a regional referral hospital
• Surgery department specializes in endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colon and rectal, and hepatobiliary procedures
• 10-hour day shifts with occasional evening flexibility required
• Weekend coverage required approximately every 5-6 weeks, Friday 3:30p through Monday 7a
• On-call required on weekdays 3:30p-7p, usually 1-3 times per 5-6 days
• Must be willing to perform OR RN duties within scope of practice in the Interventional Radiology unit
• No 10/12-hour shift scheduling accommodations available for this position

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Multiple surgical specialty experience required
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across a variety of surgical specialties
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required, with ability to adapt quickly to stressful situations
• Scrub-experienced RNs will receive first consideration for offer
• Must work two holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, and Christmas Eve through New Year's Day including surrounding weekends
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and all time off requests must be submitted with the initial profile
• RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position
