Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a CA license for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Operating room setting supporting a variety of surgical specialties
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts (6:30-17:00 or 8:00-18:30)
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Exposure to General, Orthopedic, Podiatry, Plastics, Neurology, ENT, and Robotic surgical cases
• Utilizes equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, cell saver, Hana Table, and Steris systems
• Any charting system experience accepted

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC only)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• 2 references from supervisors obtained within the past year required
• Nursys license verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks required

Additional Information

• Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, neurology, and ENT
• Trained in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia
• Knowledgeable in infection control, specimen handling, and universal protocol (time-out) procedures
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
