Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulating experience in ortho, neuro, ENT, general surgery, and transplant cases with an active MA RN license.

Details

• 10-room OR unit within a Level I Trauma inpatient surgical program
• Cares for patients undergoing bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney/liver transplant procedures
• Evening shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours/week over a 13-week assignment
• Required to work up to 2 weekends per month, either on-call (7a-7p or 7p-7a Sat/Sun/holidays) or working shifts
• On-call response time of 30 minutes with a short call shift once weekly
• Primarily based at the West Main campus with possible floating to East or CVI OR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Circulating experience in ortho, neuro, ENT, general surgery, and kidney transplant cases required
• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Additional experience in robotics, spine, GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma surgery valued
• Must provide proof of Flu vaccination, especially during flu season
• COVID vaccine plus booster and Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

• Circulate and/or scrub for a wide variety of complex surgical procedures including transplants and trauma cases
• Eligible to work any holidays falling within the contract period, with RTO requiring approval and submission at time of application
• Orientation occurs weekly, typically every Monday barring holidays
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates will be accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any BILH facility before returning
• Parking near the facility can cost up to $43 per day
