Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I Trauma inpatient operating room, requiring MA licensure and the ability to circulate ortho, neuro, ENT, general surgery, and kidney transplant cases.

Details

• Level I Trauma inpatient operating room with 10 operating rooms
• Cares for patients undergoing bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, plastics, robotic surgery, and kidney/liver transplant procedures
• Evening shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours/week over 13 weeks
• Up to 2 weekends per month, either on-call or working shifts
• On-call includes 7a-7p or 7p-7a coverage on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
• Short call shift required once per week
• Primarily based at West Main campus with potential floating to East or CVI OR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Experience circulating ortho, neuro, ENT, general surgery, and kidney transplant cases required
• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Additional surgical specialty experience valued including robotics, transplants, spine, GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma

Additional Information

• Care team supports a wide variety of complex surgical procedures in a Level I Trauma setting
• Orientation held weekly, typically every Monday barring holidays
• Holiday coverage required for any holiday occurring during the contract; RTO must be approved in advance
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
• Required vaccines include COVID (plus booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Parking near the facility can cost up to $43 per day
