Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Float Pool position requiring prior circulating experience and previous travel nursing experience.

Details

• OR Float Pool position within a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms
• Adult patient population only, no pediatric cases
• Handles all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Excludes cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro service lines
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Weekday schedule varies based on unit needs, no block schedule available
• Late stay required up to four times during a 13-week period
• May float within the OR but not between locations
• 26-week contract length only, shorter durations not considered

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• Scrub experience not required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provides circulating support across a wide variety of surgical service lines
• Limited time off approval, with expectation to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Orientation start dates available on 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate under the 75-mile radius rule
