Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho skills for a teaching hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of OR experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit in an acute care, teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation
• Primary focus on orthopedic cases with general surgery as a secondary specialty
• 5x8 day and evening shift options with start times of 0645, 0900, 1100, and 1445
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is expected
• Epic (Excellian) EMR used for charting
• Open to accommodating block scheduling

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required with strong orthopedic skills
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with orthopedic procedures such as arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement preferred
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Date of birth, SSN, and certification copies required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided on site
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted only within 100 miles of the facility
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Returning staff must have at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee
• References are not provided by the facility to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
• Pre-start modules are required and must be completed prior to beginning the assignment
