Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a 20-OR surgical unit within a large academic hospital's East Campus
• Surgical population includes gynecology, general, urology, robotics, oncology, orthopedics (joint replacements, sports medicine, oncology), ophthalmology, ENT, plastic, and interventional pulmonology cases
• 10-hour evening rotating shifts with start times of 9am, 11am, or 3pm, with ability to flex to a 7am day start
• On-call requirements include 2 short calls and 2 weekend/weeknight calls per 4-week schedule
• Short call requires availability for 2 hours after a shift
• Weekend call coverage is 7a-7p or 7p-7a once a month, with overnight weeknight call 7p-7a once per week when working days
• 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• 1-3 years of related OR experience required
• Strong experience in orthopedics and total joints, gynecology, and general surgery required
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred
• Specialty area expertise preferred
• Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility as no local candidates will be accepted
• Previous BIDMC or Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Parking near the facility can cost up to $43 per day
