Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room - Thoracic/Vascular Team position requiring thoracic/vascular scrub and circulating experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Work in a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital's 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms
• Assigned to the OR Float Pool, Thoracic/Vascular Team
• Patient population includes transplant, trauma/neuro, and adult (no pediatric) cases
• Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9am to 9pm, with variable days based on unit needs
• No block schedule available
• Late stays required based on unit needs, with up to four late stays expected during a 13-week period
• May float between OR units but not between facility locations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Required certifications must be on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience required
• Thoracic/vascular experience required
• Must be proficient in endovascular cases as both circulator and scrub
• Scrub experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and scrub nursing care for thoracic/vascular surgical cases
• Time off requests are limited, with staff expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Only 26-week contract assignments will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
