Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) – Surgical Services in Plattsburgh, NY. Start date: 05/25/2026. Assignment duration: 13–16 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,662–$1,765 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: hospital-based travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub for selected operative cases as applicable; assist with instrument counts and maintaining the sterile field
- Prepare the OR suite for procedures, set up equipment, and assist with patient positioning and intraoperative transport as needed
- Start IVs and assist with intraoperative instrumentation; document case activities in the EMR (EPIC) and ensure accurate case counts
- Collaborate with anesthesia and circulating staff; support nursing teams across multiple surgical specialties (ortho, robotics, general, ENT, plastics, neuro)
- Float to assigned units or facilities per scheduling needs; participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations as required

Requirements
- NY state licensure for Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech) and BLS certification
- NBSTSA Surgical Tech Certification or equivalent (Certification verification acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 2 years in the specialty
- Strong knowledge base across OR services (orthopedics, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, neuro)
- Floating ability to support OR coverage; availability for 12-hour shifts; ability to work in a hospital OR setting
- Prior travel experience preferred but not required
- On-call requirements: 1 night per week; 1 weekend day per 4-week schedule; holiday on-call if not assigned to another staff member
