Overview
Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) – OR specialty, traveling to Vail, CO. Start date 06/01/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $1,673–$1,756 with 32 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is 3x12 rotating in a short-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining the sterile field and providing instrumentation as needed to the surgical team.
- Demonstrate expertise in sterile and aseptic technique, applying knowledge of anatomy and procedure-specific tools.
- Maintain and check items for proper packaging, moisture, seal integrity, sterile indicators if present, and expiration dates.
- Ensure the operating room environment is safe; verify equipment functions and that the procedure is conducted to maximize patient safety.
- Monitor the sterile field for contamination or compromise and initiate corrective actions under supervision; participate in the Time Out process with briefs and debriefings.
- Assist with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation; contribute to ongoing delivery of care within the scope of practice.
- Maintain currency in new technologies and instrumentation; model professional behavior and Just Culture principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned; must be HIPAA compliant.

Requirements
- Licensure: Licensed Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado.
- Education/Experience: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or licensed Surgical Technologist.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Language: Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Physical/Demands: Ability to work in a high-demand perioperative setting; able to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks; able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compliance: HIPAA compliant.
