Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend with a total of 6 weekend shifts.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care for patients in a 26-bed orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries. This role requires expertise in telemetry and orthopedic care to ensure effective pain management, rehabilitation, and mobility support for patients recovering from procedures such as laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform comprehensive assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient telemetry systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on healthcare needs and discharge planning.
• Perform special procedures such as bedside lumbar punctures and administering Heparin drips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or Orthopedic unit.
• Active South Carolina or multistate nursing license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• 1 year of experience with the EPIC charting system.
