Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Orthopedic Medical/Surgical – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:6. Weekend coverage required for half of scheduled shifts. Float required. 36-bed unit.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment on a dedicated Orthopedic Medical/Surgical unit
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with focus on orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement
• Orientation provided with onsite module completion during initial training period
• Opportunity to work with advanced equipment and procedures including wound vacs, chest tubes, peripheral nerve block catheters, and telemetry monitoring

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; travel experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
