Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Orthopedic Medical/Surgical – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with half of scheduled shifts on weekends. Patient ratio 1:6. Float required. 36-bed orthopedic medical/surgical unit.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment on a dedicated orthopedic medical/surgical unit
• Work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 36-hour orientation period
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including total joint replacement care, spinal cord injury management, and traumatic brain injury care

Requirements:

• Active Texas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
