Join a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse travel assignment in Burlington, North Carolina. This 13-week travel nursing job offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs, including stroke and neuro cases, while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team in central North Carolina.

• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Remote telemetry monitoring experience required; on-unit monitoring preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 required
• Experience with feeding tube care, IV starts, central line care, PICC management, blood product administration, and wound care
• Comfort caring for adults and geriatric patients with multiple co-morbidities and stroke/neuro diagnoses
• First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Support patients with stroke and neurological needs, including CVA-related care
• Manage peripheral IVs, PICC lines, ports, central lines, and blood products as indicated
• Perform feeding tube care, wound care, isolation precautions, and oxygen support such as nasal cannula
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
• Adapt to floating assignments across nearby campuses as needed
