Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin  
Shift: Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend & Holiday

 

 Mandatory Qualifications for this Job

  • Active Wisconsin RN License
  • Current NIHSS Certification
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Minimum experience in Med-Surg, Orthopedic, or Neurology nursing
  • Education verification required

 Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients
  • Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely
  • Monitor patients and report changes promptly
  • Perform neurological assessments and stroke care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge plans
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
  • Promote patient safety and quality care
  • Participate in performance improvement activities
  • Apply critical thinking and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support continuity of care across units

This is a 13-week Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg opportunity in Janesville, Wisconsin, offering night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts. Candidates should have recent Ortho/Neuro or Med-Surg nursing experience, an active Wisconsin RN license, and current NIHSS and CPR/BLS certifications. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required, and Travel RNs may be asked to float to other units as needed.
