Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Orthopedic/Neuro unit requiring solid Med/Surg experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 36-bed Orthopedic/Neuro unit within a hospital setting
• Unit staffed with charge RN, RNs to volume, 1-2 techs, and a secretary on day shift; charge RN, RNs to volume, and 1-2 techs on night shift
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for RNs and 8-12 patients per tech
• Common procedures include total joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder) and spine surgery
• Uses immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment equipment
• Charts in Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with a 7A-7P shift schedule
• Minimum of 2 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Solid Med/Surg experience required
• Ortho/Spine experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
