Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an outpatient hand therapy setting, requiring hands-on experience with post-op hand surgeries and splinting, and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Outpatient OT setting focused on hand therapy
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM–6:00 PM), Monday through Friday
- Caseload includes post-operative hand surgery patients
- Splinting is a routine part of the patient care performed in this role
- Epic EMR experience is required — no exceptions
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, or NBCOT certification required
- Graduate of an ACOTE-approved OT program required
- Active Oregon OT license required — no pending licensure accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience required
- Experience in outpatient hand therapy required
- Experience with post-op hand surgeries and splinting required
- Epic EMR experience required
- CHT certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- COVID vaccination required — no exemptions
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluation and development and follow-through of individualized treatment plans
- Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital approximately 15 minutes away — refusing to float may result in contract cancellation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates — no radius restriction
- All RTO must be finalized prior to submission and cannot be modified after submission; additional requests may result in removal from consideration or contract cancellation
- Former permanent employees of Salem Health must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Non-billable orientation modules are required prior to start and vary by specialty
