Schedule

This position is a 5x8 schedule, starting August 24th.

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position.

Job Description

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. You will ensure the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration and be responsible for the delegation of therapy services for assigned patients. In addition, you will serve as an educator for patients, families, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in the student program as appropriate.
• Create an individualized professional development plan.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Understand the organization’s performance improvement methodology to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license to practice physical therapy.
