Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of orthopedic experience and at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

  • Outpatient clinic setting within a PT Outpatient unit
  • Day shift schedule with 5x8-hour shifts and flexible start/end times
  • Patient population ranges from teens to older adults
  • Caseload includes a mix of non-surgical and post-operative orthopedic conditions

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience within the last 7 years
  • At least 1 previous travel assignment required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience treating orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, spinal conditions, and sports injuries
  • Proficiency with common PT equipment including gait belts, walkers, and modalities like e-stim and TENS
  • Documentation experience including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and use of therapeutic modalities for orthopedic caseloads
  • Focus on sports medicine and general orthopedic outpatient care
  • Candidates must live within 60 miles of the facility to qualify for local status
  • No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with none allowed in the first two weeks
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the travel experience requirement
