StartDate: 8/17/2026 Pay Rate: $2438.00 - $2512.00

This outpatient Physical Therapist role is based in Mount Airy, Maryland, a welcoming community known for its relaxed pace of life, scenic rolling countryside, and strong small-town spirit. Professionals enjoy the balance of peaceful living with quick access to larger cities, making it easy to take advantage of cultural events, shopping, dining, and major airports while coming home to a quieter, more personal environment. Mount Airy offers local parks, walking trails, and nearby outdoor recreation areas that are ideal for hiking, biking, and weekend exploration. Throughout the year, community festivals, farmers’ markets, and family-friendly events help create a warm, connected atmosphere that many find deeply rewarding. The clinic provides a modern, well-equipped outpatient environment designed for high-quality orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Treatment spaces are thoughtfully planned to support both one-on-one care and functional training, with therapeutic exercise equipment, treatment tables, and areas dedicated to strengthening, balance, and mobility work. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and evidence-based practice, creating a supportive setting for both experienced therapists and those continuing to build their skills. Clinicians benefit from structured evaluation tools, standardized protocols where appropriate, and the flexibility to tailor care to each patient’s goals and lifestyle. In this role, you will perform comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training. You will guide patients through post-surgical rehab, conservative management of orthopedic conditions, and performance-focused programs for active individuals. A typical day includes new evaluations, follow-up treatments, progress reviews, and close communication with referring providers to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Patient volume is managed to support thorough, high-quality sessions, with scheduling designed to balance productivity and patient-centered care. Caseloads often include a mix of working adults, student athletes, recreational athletes, and older adults seeking to maintain independence and function. You will document care using an EMR platform, participate in team huddles and case discussions, and contribute to a positive clinic atmosphere focused on patient success and professional growth. The position offers clear opportunities to develop specialized skills and expand your clinical interests within outpatient PT, whether you enjoy post-operative orthopedics, sports performance, or general musculoskeletal care. Working in this setting allows you to build a strong professional profile while enjoying the benefits of practicing in a friendly, accessible Maryland community known for its quality of life and welcoming character.
