Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a hospital-based outpatient rehab setting, requiring at least 1 year of outpatient PT experience and an active SC or Multistate Compact PT license.

Details

  • Hospital-based outpatient rehab unit located off the main hospital campus
  • 5x8 schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
  • Average patient load of 10 patients per day Monday through Thursday, and 5 patients on Fridays
  • Sessions are scheduled every 45 minutes, including evaluations; occasional double-booking of 1-2 patients per day maximum to accommodate patient scheduling requests (Medicare patients are never double-booked)
  • 1:1 patient ratio with 45-minute sessions
  • No weekend or on-call requirements; holiday coverage may be required
  • May be required to float to other units or sister facilities within scope
  • Charting performed in Epic
  • Free parking available

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Active SC Physical Therapist license or Multistate Compact PT license required at the start of the contract; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have outpatient PT experience
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local candidates are prioritized
  • Previous permanent or PRN staff of this health system must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to facility needs
  • Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day
  • During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak months are August and September
  • Charcoal gray scrubs required
