Job Summary The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialist position is located in a busy hospital setting in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves providing post-operative recovery care for surgical patients, with a focus on ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position is part-time with a flexible schedule, including night shifts and weekends, suitable for qualified healthcare professionals seeking a dynamic work environment.
Job Details
Location: 900 8th Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: No certifications required; however, candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or equivalent healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with General, Neuro, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Vascular surgical procedures. Previous experience working with EMR systems, specifically Meditech, is preferred.
Responsibilities: Provide immediate post-operative care, monitor patient recovery, assess vital signs, and collaborate with surgical staff to ensure smooth patient transition from anesthesia.
Additional Information: The unit offers state-of-the-art equipment, a pleasant work environment, and a highly experienced staff. The role requires an easy-going and adaptable personality, with the ability to work efficiently during varied shift times including night and weekend coverage.
On Call: On call only.
