Job Summary: The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialty position is located in Saginaw, Michigan. This role involves maintaining patients' respiratory and cardiac status following anesthesia procedures. The position requires continuous patient assessment, adherence to physician orders, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan (MI) license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, a minimum of 2 years PACU experience, and pertinent work history skills checklist current within the last year.
Certification Requirements: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
Submission requirements include verified work history, supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years, and valid active licenses and certifications.
Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, providing skilled nursing services, administering medications, responding to alarms, and collaborating with team members to evaluate and update treatment plans.
