Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility located in Sioux City. Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, start date 10/12/2026, end date 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or Iowa compact nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association preferred, ARC or US Military accepted), ACLS (American Heart Association preferred, ARC or US Military accepted), PALS (American Heart Association preferred, ARC or US Military accepted), 2+ years of PACU experience, successful completion of a Supervisory Reference Form within the last two years, work history skills checklist specific to PACU, drivers license, and ability to float within the same discipline.

• Float: ICU; cross-trained PACU staff nurses float once a week to ICU but will not take ICU patients, only serve as resource. Travelers may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation dates: 10/12, 10/26
  • Patient ratios: 1:2
  • The traveler may be asked to float to ICU within the same discipline and to different campuses as needed.
  • Call requirements include every third weekend (either 12 or 24 hours) and potentially 2-4 weeknights weekly.
  • Call back multiplier: 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum, callback pay applies.
  • Call rate: $9/hour, precept rate: $6/hour, overtime is billable after 36 hours/week, OT billable after 48 hours/week.
  • Employee separation policy restricts any past employee of the organization from working travel assignments in another market if previously employed as FTE or PRN at the organization within the last 12 months.
  • No local candidates; all must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
