Job Summary:

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialty position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized patient care in the post-anesthesia recovery setting, including pre-op and Phase II recovery procedures. The position offers day shifts with scheduled hours and a commitment of minimum hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid State License with a compact license in hand at submission; at least 1 year of recent experience in PACU or related acute care settings; certifications including BLS and PALS; minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient, Phase I post-anesthesia recovery, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, narcotics/opioid analgesics, reversal agents, external ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, general and monitored anesthesia care (MAC), nerve blocks, spinal, malignant hyperthermia protocol, pain assessment and management, PCA pump management, Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS), bariatrics, ENT, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedics, vascular, pre-post unit care, and knowledge related to endoscopy and robotic procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interdisciplinary support and managing patients across different age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent acute care experience. The position requires the ability to perform arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition, and clinical skills related to post-anesthesia recovery. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Travel Experience: Not required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submittal Requirements: Candidates must include responses to whether they have previous experience at a healthcare provider facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem, including location and dates worked. Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required prior to start date.
