Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialist position is located in Seattle, Washington. This role involves providing post-operative patient care in a busy healthcare facility. The position requires adaptability to various surgical procedures and collaborative teamwork to ensure high-quality recovery services for diverse patient populations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Two years of experience in a PACU setting or related unit is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with conscious sedation, IV starts, and working within a community hospital environment.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients undergoing general surgery, vascular procedures, plastics, eye surgeries, gynecological, dental, thoracic (excluding open-heart cases), and podiatric surgeries. Occasionally, pre-operative care for cath lab vascular procedures and endoscopy may be involved. There may be pediatric patient cases comprising approximately 3-4% of total cases. Candidate must have at least one year of recent clinical experience and be able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
