Job Summary PACU Registered Nurse (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, with a focus on surgeries requiring anesthetics and spinal anesthesia.
Job Details
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred)
Education/Experience: 1 year of PACU experience required, with at least 1 year of overall nursing experience
Location: The healthcare providers facility
Schedule: 4x10 hour days (0900-1930) with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends (once every 4 weeks), primary call shift, and secondary call shift in a 4-week schedule period
Responsibilities include airway assessment, managing monitored anesthesia care, post-epidural management, and caring for a patient population that includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, urology, and cardiovascular procedures
Preferred qualifications include experience with Epic charting system and trauma level II experience
Candidates must include responses to recent employment at any Providence facility, along with two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
