Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Portland, Oregon. This position involves floating between units, providing specialized post-operative recovery care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. The role requires nursing expertise in phase I and phase II of care within a short-term acute care facility.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid state license with at least 1 year of experience in a PACU or related specialty as specified.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in post-anesthesia recovery, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Must have pre-op or phase II of care experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Responsible for providing post-operative recovery care for patients in the PACU and Short Stay/MPU pre-op and post-op areas, with duties including airway assessment, medication management, and vital sign monitoring.
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment, and candidates should be prepared to float to other units based on skill set and facility needs.
• Submittal requires references covering the last 1 year. Candidate responses should include previous work at a Providence facility if applicable, with location and dates.
