Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Orange, California. This position involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. The role demands clinical expertise in phase 1 and phase 2 recovery, with an emphasis on general surgery and orthopedic skills, ensuring safe patient discharge and adherence to unit protocols.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of PACU experience; certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS; California state license in hand; valid for travel with no open license hits; willingness to work every third weekend, with potential for exceeding; local radius of 50 miles.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, trauma level II experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and radiology. Must respond to the screening questions about prior employment at a Providence facility, recent Fire Card, and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years. Candidates should be prepared to float between facilities within the state as needed.
