Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in a healthcare facility within a 60-mile radius. This position involves providing specialized care in a PACU setting, managingpatients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on critical care skills. The role requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association)
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care, PACU or ICU settings
• Location Requirements: Must be in the state during the week of orientation, with eligibility for assignments within a 60-mile radius
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Responsibilities include managing post-operative patients, operating ventilator equipment (vents, optiflow, Bi-Pap, Cpap), reading strips, and providing patient recovery care in PACU.
• Additional duties include responding to call requirements, floating within the unit, and adhering to hospital protocols for trauma level and emergency procedures.
• Charting System: EPIC
• License to submit: Yes
• Shift notes: Variable 10 or 12-hour shifts, staggered between 6 AM - 10 AM with call and floating within the unit. Call response time is within 30 minutes.
• Call and holiday requirements: One night a week, one weekend every six weeks, and two holidays annually.
• Additional notes: The position involves primarily PACU and preoperative care, with specific orientation to these units.
