Job Summary:
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nursing opportunity available at a healthcare organization in the state of Hawaii. The position involves caring for patients in pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery, with a focus on post-surgical patient monitoring and critical care. Candidates must possess the necessary skills to assess incision sites, monitor vital signs, and identify signs of stability or complications, demonstrating advanced knowledge of anesthesiology.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with minimum of 40 hours per week. Shifts may include Days, Evenings, Nights, and weekends or holidays. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
• Required Qualifications: Valid professional license in Hawaii; BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association; minimum of 2 years of experience as a critical care registered nurse (such as ER or ICU); ability to arrive at the designated location by the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment; proof of flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption documentation; experience with Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCD's, Bair Paws Warmers, HP Monitors, Phillips Monitors.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have Hawaii state licensure by the start of assignment. Previous critical care or surgical nursing experience is preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association is recommended and may be required for specific positions. Specialty certifications such as NIHSS and TNCC are preferred or required depending on the role.
