Job Summary The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse position is located in Hawaii. This role involves caring for patients in the immediate postoperative period, including Phase I and Phase II recovery. The PACU nurse provides advanced patient assessment and monitoring, demonstrating critical care skills to ensure patient stability and safety following surgical procedures.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid professional license within the state of practice; BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association; PALS credential recommended and may be required; 2+ years experience as a critical care registered nurse in a hospital setting may be accepted as a substitute for PACU nurse experience; Candidate must have Hawaii license by start of assignment; proof of flu vaccination or approved medical or religious exception required prior to contract start date.
Schedule: Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours and can be Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. On Call shift 0-3 times per month during 8-hour night and 24-hour weekend/holiday shifts.
Additional Information: Candidate must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Submission Requirements: Proof of Hawaii license and vaccination or exception documentation needed prior to start date.
