Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a community hospital setting. The role involves providing post-operative care for patients recovering from anesthesia across various specialties including Neuro, Plastics, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Breast, General, Gynecological (GYN), Urology, Orthopedics, Vascular, and Endoscopy. The position features a rotating shift schedule designed to support 24-hour patient care coverage.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts with a total of 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least 1 year of clinical experience in a PACU or similar postoperative care setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a hospital PACU environment; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Additional Information: The role includes on-call responsibilities approximately 3-4 weeknights and one 24-hour weekend call every 8 weeks, with call hours varying from evening to overnight and weekend shifts. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs. Holiday on-call duties are also required.
