Job Summary:
This registered nurse (RN) position is located in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a healthcare facility in Portland, Maine. The role involves providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing various procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, TAVR, vascular, robotic surgeries, and pediatric caths. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and care quality.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; 3 years of recent PACU experience; ICU experience; experience with TEE/CV/CATH/EP procedures; trauma level 1 experience; call requirement every other weekend.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vascular, robotic TAVR, pediatric caths; team player; excellent communication skills; flexible attitude.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Bramhall PACU, IMC, and ICU.
• Additional Information: The position is a replacement of perm staff and is scheduled to start on 08/31/2026. The facility has 40 pre- and post-operative beds along with 9 overnight bays providing 23-hour short-stay care. The unit utilizes EMR systems, specifically Epic, and maintains a professional dress code with scrub colors of choice.
