Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), San Francisco, CA This position involves providing specialized peri-anesthesia nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients during their post-operative recovery. The nurse will utilize basic competencies in pharmacology, airway management, and peri-anesthesia standards of care to support patient recovery from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour days, start times at 9:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of PACU RN experience, preferably in a high-acuity hospital or ICU setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive cardiac or cath lab experience.
• Float: Float to other campuses may be required based on census and operational needs.
• Additional Information: The position requires proficiency in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, and management of various post-operative procedures. Clinical responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, performing cardiac arrests CPR, cardioversion, and operating complex monitoring equipment such as the Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring system. Candidates must complete a 24-hour orientation and submit all compliance documentation 10 days prior to the start date, including valid licensure and certifications.
