Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a high acuity inpatient setting. The role involves providing intensive recovery care for patients following complex surgical procedures, including kidney transplants, craniotomies, transaortic valve replacements, spine surgeries, and ICU-level cases. The PACU RN will ensure optimal patient outcomes through careful monitoring and management during the immediate post-operative period.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/27/2026 and ending on 01/26/2027.
• Certifications: CA RN License, BSN, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), current certifications as listed, a minimum of 2 years of clinical inpatient experience, trauma level I experience, charting experience using Epic electronic medical record system, and the ability to float within a 75+ mile radius to different facilities if needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience, especially in Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), or Neuro ICU backgrounds. Community hospital experience, low patient-to-nurse ratios, and previous trauma level I or II experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: The role requires the recovery of patients with higher acuity, including kidney transplants, craniotomies, and complex cardiac procedures. Staff will be expected to manage advanced airway assessments, invasive lines, post-operative monitoring, and complex medication protocols.
