Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) registered nurse position is available in an inpatient setting within a high acuity trauma center. This role involves providing post-operative care for patients with higher acuity levels, including kidney transplants, craniotomies, transaortic valve replacements, spine surgeries, and ICU patients. The position offers 10-hour shifts during daytime hours, with varying start times.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: CA RN License, BSN, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience in a Level I trauma center, with experience in high acuity PACU, Phase I and II recovery, and pre-postoperative care required.
• Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Ability to float to other university health care facilities. Previous charge nurse experience and familiarity with Epic charting system are preferred. Clinicians must recover patients with high acuity needs, including those undergoing kidney transplants, craniotomies, and valve replacements.
• Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience (SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU background), trauma level I experience, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, and travel experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: References must be completed and available at the time of submission. Travelers with a Monday start date may start sooner if they are cleared earlier, subject to manager approval. Modules are non-billable, vary by unit, and should be completed prior to start.
