Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurses are responsible for providing essential recovery care to patients emerging from anesthesia following surgical procedures. Operating during day shifts, this role involves assessing patient vital signs, monitoring recovery progress, managing pain and nausea, and responding promptly to any emergent issues to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment dedicated to patient recovery and safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift. 10-hour shifts. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License); NIHSS certification; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: 1. Basic Life Support (BLS) card; 2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) card; 3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card; 3 years of clinical nursing experience in relevant setting; educational requirement includes graduation from an accredited registered nursing program, with a bachelors or associate degree preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, practices, and medical terminology; experience with medical instruments, equipment, and medication effects; ability to perform patient assessments, coordinate nursing care, utilize critical thinking, and exercise nursing judgment.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing and documenting the nursing process, collaborating with the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety, adhering to infection control protocols, and participating in professional development activities. Candidates must maintain all health requirements as specified by the employer and be knowledgeable of and compliant with relevant nursing practice standards and ethical guidelines.
