Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN requiring recent post-anesthesia experience and NIHSS certification for a busy, high-acuity surgical recovery unit.

Details

• PACU unit open 24/7, covering a wide range of surgical specialties including thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery
• Higher acuity cases are managed on this unit
• 12-hour day shifts, scheduled Monday through Friday from 10am to 10:30pm
• Unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
• Call coverage is required on holidays
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across multiple surgical specialties
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
