Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring at least 2 years of experience and current ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the PACU/Recovery Room of a hospital environment
• Provides specialized post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Shift hours are 09:00-21:30
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Monitors patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period, managing pain, nausea, and identifying complications
• Coordinates care across disciplines and communicates patient status to the healthcare team
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Follows Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
• Radius rule applies; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate depending on facility location
